Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect no data. No accounts, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. The app uses no Samsung account or TV identifiers. The only permissions it requests are Internet access and reading the remote's media keys.

What the app does on your device

• Downloads recipe content (JSON and images) from fifi.cooking over HTTPS.
• Stores one setting on the TV: your chosen language. It never leaves the TV and is removed when you delete the app.
• Caches recipe data and images on-device so the app loads faster.

What fifi.cooking sees

Like any website, the static hosting that serves the recipe data may log standard request metadata (IP address, timestamp, requested file) for security and abuse prevention. No recipe content request carries any account, identifier, or personal data — there is nothing to attach it to.

YouTube embeds

Some recipes include cooking videos hosted on YouTube. If you choose to play one, the app opens a small player page on samsungsmarttv.fifi.cooking that embeds the player from youtube-nocookie.com — Google's privacy-enhanced embed domain, which avoids setting tracking cookies until you press play. At that point Google's privacy policy applies to the player itself. The player page itself stores and sends nothing about you.

Children

Kids mode is a feature for families cooking together — the app collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Changes

Any future change to this policy will be posted here before it ships.

Your rights and contact

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete — deleting the app from the TV removes everything it stored. Questions: samsungtv@fifi.cooking.
