Frequently asked questions

How do I change the app's language?

Home → Settings → Language. The first time you open the app it also asks. All 24 languages supported by fifi.cooking are available, including right-to-left layouts for Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Pashto and Hebrew.

Using the remote

Arrows move the orange focus ring · Enter/OK opens · Return goes back (and closes the app from the home screen) · Exit closes the app at once · Play/Pause and Stop control recipe videos.

Which TVs are supported?

Samsung Smart TVs from 2022 onwards (Tizen 6.5 and newer).

Does the app work offline?

The app streams recipe data from fifi.cooking, so an internet connection is required. Recently viewed recipes and images are cached on-device for a while, which speeds things up.

How does Kids mode work?

Kids recipes have a get-ready checklist (wash hands, apron, grown-up nearby), tickable ingredients, tool lists, big step-by-step cards, and an allergen banner. Steps marked for grown-ups are always flagged.

Why do some recipes show videos?

Some recipes link to Dr. Fatma's YouTube videos. They play inside the app full screen via privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embeds.

Something looks wrong in my language

Recipe translations come straight from fifi.cooking. Report the recipe name and language to samsungtv@fifi.cooking and we'll fix the source data.
